Geostring $10.00 sign up bonus hype

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/KeHfG)
Geo String funny pic.I don't know about you, but I've been seeing and hearing a whole lot of hype about Geo String online recently. Is Geo String just another fad site that will be forgotten in the near future, or is it a winner?

I don't know exactly what the picture to the left is supposed to represent about Geo String, but I'm going to assume it isn't anything bad.

I attempted to sign up with them and was unsuccessful. I don't know how or why, but I never received my initial welcome invitation email. No worries though, an affiliate of Signupandmakemoney.com (Gordon), went ahead and gave me his referral link. So I'm using it on the site and on this blog post.

Even though there has been a lot of hype online about Geo String, I'm not really too impressed. They have a $100.00 minimum to cash out and sound pretty much too good to be true. You know what that means, don't you?

Since it's free to join and free to try out, you might as well see what's all about regardless of it's to good to be true claim. One other thing that raised a couple red flags to me about Geo String is that there is a little bit of broken English on the site. This shows me there probably is a foreigner running the site. This usually isn't a problem, but you never know, right?

Signupandmakemoney has a new look

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/RFhRL)
Signupandmakemoney.com Logo. After over a week of vigorous style sheet hacks I was finally able to come up with a decent looking yet simple new look for Signupandmakemoney.com. I would love to hear your thoughts and/or opinions of the site if you have any at all.

I'm learning new things about web programming and web design all the time. The reason I never made these  changes a while back was because I didn't know how to set up my own local server. Once I figured out how to accomplish this it was just a matter of setting up a copy of my site on my local computer. I prefer to use wamp, but there are other free ways to accomplish this besides manually setting up php, apache, and mysql.

My site (Signupandmakemoney.com) uses third party software such as wordpress, simple machines forum, and affiliate pro 4. It first started out as a simple static html based website. Along with the new look, I also parsed all the html files to act as php files with my .htaccess file. This makes it way easier to update the site. I can make one header for the entire site and only have to make one change verses 70+ changes with my old html files. That's right, I got a lot of pages on the site.

The reason I made the changes was to make a better user experience at the site. Each section had a different header, width, and footer. Now I can gladly say they all look much like the same site. The other reason I made these changes was to hopefully increase the value of the site. Which I think this will.

I still have many more updates and changes I would like to make to the site. But for now this has been a huge step forward in the right direction as to what I believe the site should look like.

Get paid to click with Paid 4 Clix plus a free sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/yZggy)
Get paid for clicking your mouse.Found a new site entitled Paid 4 Clix with very few members. The site looks pretty legit and well designed. I noticed I'm only the 60th member. This is a little bit odd to me considering Paid4Clix is offering a $10.00 sign up bonus just for joining free.

It looks like Paid 4 Clix has a minimum payout of $20.00. So after your free sign up bonus you'll have to earn another $10.00 on your own before you can cash out. I also didn't see any limitations on which Country you are from when you join.

On top of paid to click ads, they also have some paid to sign up offers. I noticed that Paid 4 Clix gives you points and I couldn't find any information on how much value these so called points have. They also don't have a lot of ads to click on.

In my opinion, this has always been a bad thing for me. I mean, Cmon, do you really want points for taking time out of your day to do anything? This is one of the biggest reasons I don't waste my time with Survey Companies that offer you points or put you in drawings to win cash. I would much rather just know exactly what I'm going to get paid for my work and move on.

Also, feel free to take a look at some more free paid to click sign up bonuses and let me know what you think.

Dominant scale ii V7 I Jazz lick

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/uX9HB)
Here is a pretty easy dominant scale ii V7 I Jazz lick I got from a friend of mine some time ago. It simply starts on the tonic of the ii chord and goes up the dominant scale until hitting the 3rd of the I chord and then ending on the cry me a river Jazz riff. You can play the lick faster depending upon the tempo of the tune you use it over and hit the 3rd on the V7 chord like I do in the below video clip.

Dominant ii V7 I Jazz-lick
Here is a sound sample over the Bb Blues on trumpet:

How to memorize this lick in 12 keys:

The reason I call this a dominant scale ii V7 I Jazz lick is because it is simply a dominant scale pattern in whatever whatever key you're currently in going up the scale. In the above example were are in C Major. What's the 5th of C? It's G7, so we play the G7 scale starting on the 5th. You repeat the pattern until you hit the 3rd of the I chord. In the above example that would be E. So if you know your dominant scales really well, you'll have this lick in 12 keys really fast.

It ends with the cry me a river Jazz lick, which is something you can work on separately. For me, that lick is best learned in 12 keys simply by feel.

I hope you enjoy this lick, I also updated the look of the Jazz Trumpet Forum template making the blog and forum look a lot more similar. I should have done this a long time ago though. Let me know what you think of the new forum look.

Arturo Sandoval amazing flugelhorn solo on Samba De Amore

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/2BF8B)
I've been listening to this YouTube video almost every day for the past week. The head isn't all that impressive, but it's definitely catchy. What you are going to want to do is take a listen to Arturo Sandoval's flugelhorn solo at about 3:15 on the trumpet video. Just amazing. I'm going to be stealing a few licks from this video and posting them on the site because there are some really good ones in it.

I would love to get your opinions on this awesome flugelhorn solo by Arturo Sandoval.

Cool Freddie Hubbard Autumn Leaves trumpet solo

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/03LLv)
I've been recently working on the chord changes to Autumn Leaves. So I decided to browse You Tube a little bit to see if I could find some good ideas. Low and behold, guess what I found? A really cool and awesome trumpet solo of Freddie Hubbard taking a ride on Autumn Leaves. Plus you can hear how he interprets the head of Autumn Leaves as well as Freddie Hubbard's usage of the 3rd valve on As and Es on the flugelhorn.

A couple other things to note about this great trumpet clip. Freddie Hubbard does a nice cadenza at the end and shows off his trumpet style in so many other ways.

Free financial education at Blog Talk Radio by Greg London

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/Taehw)
Blog Talk Radio LogoIf you don't have anything going on the night of March 31st, 2010 at 10:00pm CST (that's USA central standard time for you non-US citizens), I would invite you to join me, Greg London, at Blog Talk Radio. You never know what you could learn. Financial education is something you should always be continuing to improve and grow upon on a regular basis.

I've been meaning to get something like this going for some time now. What I wanted to do was make it like a video conference. After realizing all the extra work that would take plus me not having the required tools to get something like that set up rather quickly, I've decided that a simple audio conference would suffice.

So you can join in on the conversation. It doesn't matter what your financial background is, in debt, financially stable, or super rich. I plan on talking about a variety of subjects that will all make you richer regardless of your current financial situation.

There are certain characteristics that I believe you should have to being financially successful in life. I'll discuss what these things are, you decide what you want to take advantage of. This can take place either now or in the future, it's entirely up to you.

In case you can't make this one, don't worry, I plan on making this a monthly financial training. This is simply because you can't cover everything in one 30 minute session. So keep an eye on my Blog Talk Radio profile to see when the next financial training will be online. You can either listen in, or participate and call in to ask questions, it's entirely up to you.
