Freddie Hubbard solo on a Jazz standard - Joy Spring

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/mkyTN)
It was nice to hear Freddie Hubbard's rendition of Joy Spring by Clifford Brown. I never heard him take a ride on this tune. Freddie Hubbard definitely does a great job of adding his unique Jazz style to the tune.

One thing I've always notice about Freddie Hubbard is that he likes to takes really long trumpet solos. That's cool with me, he definitely had the chops for it back in the day, if you know what I mean. I really wish Freddie Hubbard was still alive and soloing all over the place so I can get more Jazz licks from him.

If you know the chord changes to Joy Spring, there are a whole bunch of great Jazz licks you can get from this solo.  I'm going to go through the Jazz solo and see what I can steal myself.

Get paid to watch videos plus a sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/09/get-paid-to-watch-videos-plus-a-sign-up-bonus/)
Paid2YouTube logo.I would like to thank a member of the Sign Up and Make Money Forum (rique) for introducing Paid2YouTube to the sign up bonus site. Paid2YouTube is 100% free to join and pays you a 5 cent sign up bonus just for joining.

Unfortunately, there is one draw back I noticed about Paid2YouTube, if you take a close look at the site, it resembles another familiar website I'm sure a lot of you heard of called Bux.to. Why does this concern me? Well, Bux.to doesn't have a very good reputation at the moment since they've decided not to follow their own terms and conditions. Bux.to is still up and running, but a majority, if not all of their members haven't received their commissions in a timely manner. I have currently been waiting well over a year for $4,000, believe it or not.

Anyway, let's get back to Paid2YouTube. I do see potential in concept of this site. You click on websites and get paid to view the videos on the sites. You obviously don't have to watch the videos, you get paid to click and actually go to the site. Their advertising prices look decent, not too low where it looks completely like a rip off to everyone that joins. I would still recommend not to invest any money in this website.

I also like that Paid2YouTube pays members for commenting on people's sites. I have not yet personally tried this, but if you can get paid to comment on someone else's website and get a back link to your site at the same time, well it's like knocking out two birds with one stone. This is of course if Paid2YouTube is a legit site, which so far it is flagged due to looking a whole lot like Bux.to.

One other thing I like about Paid2YouTube is that I don't see anywhere to buy referrals. This has always been a red flag for any type of Bux site out there. It looks like Paid2YouTube makes a profit off their ads regardless of selling any referrals or not.

Anyway, try it out for yourself, take a look at some more paid to click sign up bonus sites that you may be interested in taking a look at.

AdFlasher.net offers a sign up bonus, but looks fishy

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/BJJWj)
AdFlasher - Earnings and Advertising in action.Ad Flasher looks like it has potential, but after taking a close look at what Ad Flasher has to offer, some red flags popped up. I am going to share those red flags with you in a little bit.

Ad Flasher offers its free affiliates a 50 cent sign up bonus for joining. You'll automatically use this advertising in their ad viewer. I apparently already used mine up and didn't get one single hit from it. There is one red flag for you. I do like that the sign up bonus comes to  automatic use and you don't have to wait for it.

I would like to thank David, an affiliate of Signupandmakemoney.com, for referring me to this sign up bonus website. David's referral link is used on this blog post and on the sign up bonus list. Quick reminder, anyone can offer a sign up bonus website to this site, and if I think it will add value to the site, your referral link will be used just for sharing the site with me.

Alright, back to Ad Flasher. One of the first things I don't like is that Ad Flasher sells referrals. Not only do they sell referrals, they also charge a hefty $5.00 fee per referral they sell. This is pretty high for a referral that might never log into their back office to earn you that money back. That just screams scam in my opinion.

I was able to take a look at how much they charge their advertisers. They charge $4.50 per 1,000 ad impressions. One thousand ad impressions to me is nothing. I think that is really expensive. I would never pay that much money for a measly 1,000 impressions that will probably be gone in an hour.

Ad Flasher advertising prices.

You are only guaranteed 46 click thrus. Now if you do the math on it. Ad Flasher claims to pay their members 10 cents per completed ad view. 10 cents x 46 clicks = $4.60. This means Ad Flasher loses money off their ads because they go 10 cents over. This doesn't include what they pay 2nd level affiliates.

I even attempted to click on some of their ads to earn some money. None of the ads had timers and my earnings didn't increase after clicking on the ads.

So there you have it. Ad Flasher may still be a good site and I may be totally out of my mind and wrong on these theories. Nonetheless, Ad Flasher is free to join and try. You may like what they have to offer.

Take a look at some more free advertising bonuses for signing up and get some free traffic to your sites.

Major triad Jazz pattern a tritone apart

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/tuEbv)
Here is a very easy to learn major triad pair that is a tritone apart. This Jazz pattern is useful over modal tunes and Jazz breaks. There really isn't any set pattern for this major triad tritone pattern. You simply can just mess around with the Jazz pattern until you find something that works for you.

Major triads that are a tritone apart.

Here is a sound sample played on trumpet:

How to memorize this Jazz pattern in 12 keys:

Since there are 2 triad pairs, you will only have to memorize the Jazz pattern in 6 keys. Technically, since one of the triads repeats itself, you will really only have to learn this Jazz lick in 3 keys (but backwards). As you can see, this Jazz pattern is simply major triads, which I'm going to assume you have your major triads down by now. Then you just go up a tritone and do another major triad.

If you are not familiar with what a tritone substitution is, I'll go over it real quick. In the above example I start on a C major triad, then I go up a tritone (#4th or a b5th above C) to F# major. After that I go back to C major triad. That's all there is to it.

Blazin Traffic Ad Exchange free sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/siuyH)
Blazin Traffic Ad Exchange. And here is yet another free traffic ad exchange that is offering a sign up bonus just for joining. Unfortunately, you have to submit a support ticket to the Blazin Traffic admin to get the $5.00 sign up bonus.

As I always recommend with these free traffic sites, never buy advertising with them. Especially if they are new and don't have too many members, (hint: this would be Blazin Traffic). Instead just take advantage of the free advertising points and credits they have available as a non-paid member.

Let's see, what else can you get with Blazin Traffic? In my humble opinion, not much. Blazin Traffic just looks like another traffic ad exchange that looks similar to a chain of other traffic ad exchanges I've been seeing popping up over the internet. In other words, I'm saying I wouldn't get excited about joining Blazin Traffic except that you will be able to take advantage of some free traffic.

Make sure that when you sign up with Blazin Traffic that you use the promo code "smokin", which is notated on their website. This way you'll get some extra traffic bonuses that you'll be able to take advantage of.

Blazin Traffic has been around a lot longer than my affiliate program and they only have a little over 450 members at the writing of this article. My affiliate program now has over 2,000 affiliates in just a few short weeks. I guess this just goes to show that unique ideas are what stand out on the internet. Blazin Traffic seems to go with the flow of the other traffic ad exchanges out their on the Internet. Signupandmakemoney is something completely unique and simple. An affiliate program where you simply refer others without the necessity to log into your account or do anything extra. You even get paid automatically. I'm actually quite proud of that aspect.

Anyway, I'm not going to keep going on and on about the Signupandmakemoney affiliate program, but instead, I'm going to call it a night.

Keep working towards the goal of online success!

Variations on A Night in Tunisia by Allen Vizzutti

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/sIraG)
I ran across this interesting rendition of A Night in Tunisia trumpet solo cadenza by Allen Vizzutti on You Tube and I thought I would share it with you. Allen Vizzutti performed this excellent trumpet cadenza with the Temple Jazz Orchestra. Allen Vizzutti also demonstrates some really nice circular breathing techniques and cheesy stage humor by making it look like his fingers are on fire because he's moving them so fast.
