Diminished pattern I got from Bobby Shew

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/8BViX)
I got this diminished pattern from a Bobby Shew Jazz book. I can't remember the name of it though. I do remember that the Jazz book was about different Jazz technical studies, etc...  Anyway, here's the Jazz lick.

Diminished pattern I got from a Bobby Shew Jazz book - Jazz lick 35.

Here is a sound sample of the Jazz lick on trumpet:

How to memorize the diminished lick in 12 keys:

Since this is a diminished pattern, you'll only need to memorize it in 3 keys depending on which note you start on.  The first part of this Jazz lick is really easy to remember because it simply goes up the diminished scale. Then the Jazz lick ends with a half step below each minor 3rd going down the diminished triad. The lick ends on a minor 3rd above C in the provided example.

Why WordLinx is a trusted paid to click site

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ccrCU)
Get paid to click on websites with WordLinx.I just quickly wanted to go over why I like WordLinx not only as a paid to click website, but also as an advertising resource with a very nicely organized website. I thought it was neat to see that WordLinx switched their blog software over to WordPress recently. That was definitely a good move by the owner of the site.

Anyway, WordLinx has over 164,000 members worldwide and have been in business for over 5 years. I only say this to let you know that WordLinx isn't going to go away like some other unfortunate paid to click websites out there.

WordLinx also pays its members reasonable commissions on the clicks they provide. What do I mean by this? Well, there are a lot of scam websites out there that will claim you are going to get paid $1.00 per click, yet the scam paid to click companies only charge their advertisers $3.00 for 1,000 visitors to their website. It just doesn't add up folks.

What does WordLinx charge their advertiser's? One cent per unique visitor plus a percentage of admin cost. The members of WordLinx make less that one cent a click most of the time. Sometimes it's higher. This shows that the website will always be in profit off of the advertising revenue it brings in. Believe it or not, this means it's good for everyone. Members are always going to get paid on time, advertisers will always get quality traffic to their websites, and the owner of WordLinx will always be able to build and expand on their paid to click company.

What are your thought's on what WordLinx has to offer as a senior paid to click company?

Scott Engelbright trumpet solo on Maynard Ferguson

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/t5AJy)
If you haven't watched this great Jazz video of Scott Englebright (aka "Scooter") performing the tune Maynard Ferguson you're in for a real treat. That's right, Maynard Ferguson is the name of the tune. I always thought that was a weird name for a tune. What do you think?

This was when Scott Englebright was at the University of North Texas. At one point I wanted to go to this University. UNT is considered one of the best Jazz Universities around. Anyway, the reason I added the Jazz video to the site is because there are a lot of high notes and Scott Englebright has a really fat trumpet sound.

By the way, is Scooter's last name spelled Engelbright, or Englebright? I've seen it spelled both ways all over the internet.

Lucky 7's Free Text Ads sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/Vs40T)
Lucky 7's free text ads is offering a limited time $7.00 sign up bonus. For a limited time only, Lucky 7's Free Text Ads is paying free members a $7.00 sign up bonus. The free text ad exchange didn't specify when the cut off date would be for the advertising sign up bonus. You have to submit a ticket Lucky 7's admin requesting the $7.00 sign up bonus. I think that sucks, what do you think?

So far I'm not too impressed with how Lucky 7's Free Text Ads is set up. The site looks pretty generic and the text ad exchange doesn't have a logo for their website yet. Just a little bit unprofessional, that's all. Lucky 7's Free Text Ads is new though, give them time and we'll see what happens.

On top of the $7.00 sign up bonus you'll get 5,000 advertising points to use at the text ad exchange as well. That's great and all, but the text ad exchange currently has less than 100 members to advertise to. Another downfall is that they only accept members that have a Gmail account. Are you kidding me? That is really going to limit the free text ad exchange's speed of growth. What do you think?

Anyway, since the advertising opportunity is currently offering a sign up bonus and is free to join, I had to at least write a little about it, because that's what I do.

Roboform affiliate program payment proof

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/oIekt)
Roboform free affiliate program payment proof.I got payed a few times by being a free affiliate with Roboform, but for some reason I never added a payment proof to my sign up bonus site. So that's what I am taking care of right now.

The Roboform affiliate program is one of those affiliate programs that you set it up on your website and totally forget all about it. I mean, you only get a measly 5 cents per software download, but believe it or not, that 5 cents can multiply pretty quickly when you're getting a lot of quality traffic to your website.

The amount of free sign ups you get can increase even faster if you promote Roboform on your website to help your members sign up on your website or other websites. Since Roboform memorizes passwords and fills out web forms automatically, it can be a really great free incentive to help your potential future members or current members out.

You're not going to make a ton of money at 5 cents a download along with no way of referring other free affiliates, but Roboform does offer a great product with a good amount of experience packed behind it. Roboform has been in existence since 1999. Let me know what you think  of Roboform.

Finger pointing at a payment proof.

Roboform Paypal proof of payment for $33.52.

Jon Faddis playing trumpet high notes on Mood Indigo

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/NJVeS)
Jon Faddis playing some trumpet. You're really going to love this sound bite of Jon Faddis on Mood Indigo if you haven't heard it yet. If you have heard it, you'll still love to hear it again because it's just that good.

Jon Faddis plays a bunch of lip trills on a high C, then a high E, and finally hits the highest note of a high Bb. You know, the one that's a whole step below a double high C.

After that, Jon Faddis holds out a really nice high G with great vibrato for an impressive period of time. Even though all the high notes are cool, my favorite part is at the end of the trumpet solo where Jon Faddis plays a really fast bebop lick to ponder over.

This trumpet solo is from the album To Diz with Love: Diamond Jubilee Recordings and was recorded live.

Proof of payment for Valued Opinions

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/YbPrW)
Take surveys with Valued Opinions and you will get paid for your work. You can be rest assured that if you take surveys with Valued Opinions, it will not be in vain. Today I received my first payment from Valued Opinions. I have been a member of Valued Opinions now for awhile, though I do admit to passing up on a lot of their survey offers due to lack of time.

Though I wish Valued Opinions would've just sent me a check in the mail, or better yet a Paypal deposit, instead I received a Visa debit card to use at my disposal. It's pretty much the same thing as getting a check in the mail because it has the same value. I can essentially use the Visa debit card on whatever I would like to use it on. I'll probably end up buying a new book with it.

Finger pointing at a payment proof.

Visa debit card I received from Valued Opinions for $20.00.

So be rest assured that if you spend valuable time taking surveys with Valued Opinions that at least you'll know your efforts won't be wasted. Aslo note that you have to earn at least $20.00 with Valued Opinions in order to request payment from them.

ii V7 I Jazz lick I heard Clifford Brown play on trumpet

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ps03t)
This ii V7 I Jazz lick I heard Clifford Brown play is pretty easy to learn and implement into your Jazz solos. If you look towards the end of the Clifford Brown Jazz lick you'll see an enclosure. If you don't know what a Jazz enclosure is, it's where you go up a half step then below a half step towards a chord tone. You'll see that Clifford Brown did an enclosure on the 5th of the I chord.

A ii V7 I Jazz lick I heard Clifford Brown play on trumpet - Jazz lick 34.

Here is a sound sample on trumpet:

How to memorize this Jazz lick in 12 keys:

Notice that the lick starts on the I of the ii chord, does a pentatonic down to the 4th, then I continue to think in C minor going to the 2nd down to the harmonic raised 7th. Then the cool part of the lick hops from C to G to C to A, then down the scale with an enclosure at the end landing on the 5ht of the I chord.

This is how I memorized the lick, it doesn't mean this method is going to work for you. This lick sounds nice over a break before you begin your solo, an example would be the break in the tune Four.

Freddie Hubbard trumpet solo on Open Sesame

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/RE9Ve)
Freddie Hubbard TrumpetThis Jazz trumpet solo of Freddie Hubbard is really great. Very melodic and builds very nicely. The tune Open Sesame, from the album Open Sesame, switches back and forth between G minor and C minor (I think - let me know by commenting). Lots of cools minor Jazz licks to take advantage of in this Freddie Hubbard trumpet solo. Of course Freddie Hubbard nails all the chord changes in this great Jazz solo as well!

The Global NPN 5x5 smart spill matrix explained

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/the-global-npn-5x5-smart-spill-matrix-explained/)
Global NPN LogoIf you aren't a member of Global NPN yet, you're really missing out on a lot of great marketing tools and a really easy way to make extra money online. I only say this because Global NPN is the best business opportunity I have ever ran into.

Global NPN doesn't have a traditional forced matrix which can end up disappointing a lot of the members in your downline because they won't see any spillover until the person in front of them on their level gets filled first. Global NPN uses what they call "smart spill" technology to force the matrix out a lot more evenly.

Check out this video to get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.

Here is what a 5x5 forced matrix looks like once it's filled:

  • 1st level = 5 people

  • 2nd level = 25 people

  • 3rd level = 125 people

  • 4th level = 625 people

  • 5th level = 3125 people

Add them all up and you got 3,905 people. Now at the lowest level of NPN Pro you'll earn a 50% commission off of $10.00 which equals $5.00 a month. OK, so $5.00 x 3,905 people = $19,525.00 a month residual income. This is the minimum amount you can earn with you Global NPN matrix being completely filled.

I didn't want to turn this post into a sales post, but I can't help but let you know that you can get your first 30 days in Global NPN covered with a free trial by signing up through an eCertificate.

With Global NPN you only need to refer 2 people to be in profit. So, not only will I give you a free trial by signing up using the eCertificate link above, but I will also help you get your first two sign ups by adding your Global NPN affiliate link to one of my Global NPN URL Rotators. As you can see, when you click the "Global NPN URL Rotators" link a different URL is displayed each time. These are different members of my current downline in Global NPN. You'll get 3 URL rotators to help your downlines in any business that you want as well.

Get a limited time sign up bonus with the Gold Rush Adz traffic ad exchange

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/nNLOK)
Gold Rush Adz is offering a free sign up bonus just for joining.I recently ran across yet another new traffic site entitled Gold Rush Adz that is currently offering a $5.00 sign up bonus to all new members until Gold Rush Adz meets their goal of 300 members. It makes sense that Gold Rush Adz would be offering such a sign up bonus since they are a website based off traffic, they need more members to advertise to.

There is one downside to the $5.00 sign up bonus, you have to contact admin to request the bonus. Sorry, it's not automatic. Maybe since it's a temporary sign up bonus, Gold Rush Adz decided not to implement the sign up bonus into their scripts. Don't fret though, the same day I contacted the Gold Rush Adz admin and submitted a support ticket was the same day I got the $5.00 sign up bonus credited to my account.

Even if the sign up bonus isn't that big a deal for you, Gold Rush Adz is also giving away some free advertising to your website. In my eyes though, these traffic ad exchanges aren't really that big a deal. Traffic Ad Exchanges do provide some free traffic to my website, but not much in my experience. You refer a few people and get more free traffic. Traffic Ad Exchanges cost you nothing if you decide to leech off the free traffic (like I do), so definitely take advantage of any and all free traffic opportunities that come your way.

The most annoying thing I've found with Traffic Ad Exchanges and other traffic like websites is that they'll display about 2 or 3 pages worth of ads before you'll finally get directed to your back office. Man, that is annoying, what do you think?

Take a look at some more free traffic and money for signing up websites and let me know what you think.

Reasons to join a cheap multi-level marketing business opportunity versus an expensive one

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/DqK7O)
Be smart with your money and don't get ripped off!Let's face it, these days there are all kinds of home based businesses to choose from. It's almost just too tempting to want to join every business opportunity that you lay your eyes on. I'm only acknowledging this because I've been there and done that. I've spent well over $15,000.00 (a little bit embarrassed to admit this) on trying different home based businesses out thinking that maybe, just maybe, this will be the special one that makes me rich.

I've tried home based businesses that cost over $3,000.00 just to get started with a monthly maintenance fee, to various business opportunities that cost around $30.00 a month to remain active as an affiliate or associate. Do I look back at this with regret? You bet I do, but I've now learned to use this as a very valuable lesson. I hope that you can benefit from my past experiences as well so that you don't make the same mistakes I did.

So, let's take a look at these multi-level marketing business opportunities, home based businesses, whatever you want to call them. Do the owners of these multi-level businesses deserve to make a profit? You bet they do. Do they deserve to over charge for their products and services basically scamming or ripping off their associates? Of course they don't! Unfortunately, this is what a lot of them do. Hence the reason why I am writing this article.

You got to be money smart, or just smart with your money! I'm here to tell you, don't go after home based businesses that charge an arm and a leg to get into. Can you make money with these expensive Companies? Sure you can, but why should you risk your own money to promote a product for another Company? Think about it, if you are over paying money just to get into the business opportunity itself and you aren't getting any real quality service or product in exchange, then you are essentially only paying to promote that particular Company. Why pay a Company to promote them when there are literally hundreds of free to join affiliate Companies out there that will let you promote there products and services at no cost to you?

If you ask me, these over priced home based business companies should be paying you to promote them, not the other way around. I would even go as far to say that the multi-level marketing Companies that cost only $30.00 a month are still charging too much money on their affiliates. Unless of course, their product or service is really worth around $30.00 a month to you.

So, to give my opinion on why you should go with a cheap or free business opportunity versus a more expensive home based business:

  • You don't take any risk with a free to join affiliate Company.

  • If you don't refer anyone and don't make any money, you can just drop it and move on.

  • You know that you won't be getting ripped off or scammed.

  • With a cheap business opportunity you'll refer less people to get into profit.

  • Gives you the ability to try more business opportunities out because they don't cost you a lot of money.

  • Easier to sign other people up, because it's either low cost or free to join for others as well.

  • Less money equals less risk.

Ryan Kisor trumpet solo on Fly me to the Moon

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/4asKr)
Take a listen to this nice Jazz trumpet solo of Ryan Kisor on Fly me to the Moon. I can't say much about the sax player, so the comments say in You tube. This Jazz video displays good use of Ryan Kisor's trumpet technique. Ryan Kisor's trumpet sound is very clean on this tune. Notice how Ryan Kisor makes all the chord changes on this tune even though his trumpet solo really isn't that impressive. This is what makes a great Jazz musician, the ability to sound good all the time even if you are not super man every time.

Should you buy traffic from a free traffic Exchange?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/0eGkt)
To buy or not to buy traffic from a free traffic exchange? We all know that traffic exchanges, no matter how big or small the traffic exchange site may be, do deliver a good source of free quality traffic to your website. In my opinion though, I have had bad experiences buying traffic from traffic exchanges.

To buy or not to buy traffic from a free traffic exchange? My answer to this question would be the latter. Don't get me wrong. If you have some money to blow and you want to experiment on a traffic exchange to see what kind of results you'll get, then by all means go right ahead and do so. I'm only noting that in my experience traffic exchanges have been a good source of free traffic to my websites, but when I buy traffic from a traffic exchange, I usually end up disappointed with the end results.

Why? You may be asking, because think about how traffic exchanges are built, you got an individual who is trying to earn credits and doesn't really care what he or she may see. I admit, I do the same, but you will receive hits to your websites, whether or not the end viewer is actually viewing your website is another question that needs to be answered.

I'll give you an example, Web Biz Insider, in my opinion is a great free traffic exchange. I get free hits from Web Biz Insider everyday. I made the mistake of upgrading my membership to a pro member for one month with Web Biz Insider thinking I was going to get a lot of great hits to my website. Unfortunately, I ended up getting tons of hits, over 10,000 to be more accurate. The problem was I didn't see any results. My Google Analytics account showed all these great hits, because I was receiving hits, but the end user wasn't turning over. I mean I wasn't getting any conversions.

The problem with Web Biz Insider is that the end user can cheat the traffic exchange system and open up multiple surfing windows at once. This means that technically you are getting hits, whether or not someone is actually viewing your website is yet another question to be asked.

Trust me, I don't want to make traffic exchanges look like they're a bad thing to get involved in. The truth is I've been receiving a multitude of great free traffic from traffic exchanges for a long time now and will always take advantage of the free traffic they have to offer. Note taken, if you see a free traffic exchange offering some kind of promotion for surfing so many sites in a day, you might want to consider taking advantage of that offer.

For example, Top Tier Traffic offered me 200 free credits today if I surfed 50 sites. It took me less then 10 minutes to surf 50 sites and the traffic bonus was applied to my account immediately. By the way, if you don't know already, Top Tier Traffic and Web Biz Insider were both made by the same owner. I can't remember his name though, look it up if this intrigues you.

Why Hits4pay makes cents - Get paid to click on ads and a sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/why-hits4pay-makes-cents-get-paid-to-click-on-ads-and-a-sign-up-bonus/)
Hits4pay - Cash in on commercial paid to click ads and get a $10.00 sign up bonus.I've been a member of Hits4pay since I started attempting to make money online back in 2005. Take a look at one of my Hits4pay payment proofs I received not too long ago. It's not for a huge amount of money, but the payment proof shows the validity of Hits4pay as a legit paying paid to click company.

One of the best things I like about Hits4pay is that they are just one site out of a larger network of sites from a legit advertising network called Multiple Stream Media. When it comes to advertising, Multiple Stream Media charges pretty heavily for any type of advertising within their network. This is why Multiple Stream Media has been around since 1999. They are coming up on their 10 year anniversary here shortly. Hopefully there will be some good advertising discounts when that time comes around.

Take a look at this funny video the founder of Multiple Stream Media created for our enjoyment:

Now I said in the title of this article that I was going to explain why Hits4pay makes cents. So here are just a few reasons:

  • Hits4pay is 100% free to join.

  • You get $10.00 in your account just for signing up.

  • You only have to earn $15.00 on your own to reach $25.00, then you can cash out through Paypal.

  • Hits4pay accepts members from all over the world. They are internationally friendly.

  • You get 2 cents for all your clicks.

  • You get 1 cent for all your referral's clicks - 2 levels deep.

  • You don't get spammed with a ton of e-mails - you'll get notified of new paid ads, log into your account to click on them.

As with any good review, it wouldn't be fair unless I made sure to give the bad news about Hits4pay. There is no such thing as a perfect online company, but don't worry, Hits4pay is not a scam.

Your membership with Hits4pay can be put into inactive status after 3 months, but at least they won't delete your account. One more thing, once you earn the minimum payout amount, you have to wait until the 1st of the next month to be paid. The good news is that it's automatic, you don't have to request payment.

Take a look at some more good paid to click sites that pay a sign up bonus for joining and let me know what you think.

Greg Gisbert and Eric Miyashiro as kids playing with Buddy Rich

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/tMI9P)
A very young Greg Gisbert takes an awesome trumpet solo on Love For Sale with the Buddy Rich Big Band. To Greg Gisbert's left is another very young, but awesome lead trumpet player named Eric Miyashiro. I really don't know how young they were in this Jazz video and I'm not even going to try to guess.

I've had the great opportunity to meet both Greg Gisbert and Eric Miyashiro when I was stationed over in Japan. I saw Greg Gisbert playing trumpet with the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All Star Big Band and Eric Miyashiro was performing with a local Japanese Big Band, I just can't remember the name of the Big Band.

The Big Band in this video sounds great. Let me know what you think!

TMI Wireless is a great free cell phone affiliate company - see payment proof

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/tmi-wireless-great-free-cell-phone-affiliate-company-payment-proof/)
TMI Wireless - The Internet Wireless Superstore.I've been a free a affiliate with TMI wireless for some time now. I really don't do much with TMI Wireless except buy my cell phones through them and earn a commission by doing so and promote the TMI Wireless affiliate opportunity on my main website.

Well, I checked my mail today and received a check from TMI Wireless. I thought this was cool because it is the second time TMI Wireless has paid me now. The first time I got paid was off a kick back on a cell phone purchase for myself ($50.00) and a $10.00 commission off of one of my referred affiliate sales. So I got a check for $60.00.

This time I earned $10.00 (I know it isn't anything to brag about), off of one of my referred affiliate sales. This means I technically didn't deserve this measly $10.00 commission, but I got it anyway, and I can earn $10.00 over and over again for the rest of my life while the free affiliates I refer continue to make cell phone and accessory sales.

Finger pointing at a payment proof.

A Check I received from TMI Wireless for $10.00 from a sub-affiliate's sale.

I only show this check, even though because of the low amount I should be embarrassed to show it, because the check shows that TMI Wireless is a good affiliate company to join.

  • Free to join affiliate company (no monthly fees, ever).

  • $50.00 for every cell phone sale.

  • $10.00 off of sub-affiliate sales for life.

  • 15% off of accessory sales.

  • 10% bonus if you sell 20 cell phones in one month.

  • Get you own TMI Wireless affiliate website with the needed advertising tools included.

  • Advanced affiliate tracking so you can see stats on you and your sub-affiliate's traffic results.

  • Can earn a commission off the purchase of your own personal cell phone and plan.

  • Carry all the major service providers: Sprint, At&t, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile.

You basically have to look at TMI Wireless like this: TMI Wireless is never going to cost you anything to join, you just sign up as an affiliate for free, put a simple TMI Wireless banner on your site or banner rotator, and get a kick back on the upgrade or new plan purchase of your own personal cell phone transactions.

Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Chuck Findley, and Byron Stripling on Cherokee

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/Sz8QL)
You're are going to love this Jazz trumpet video of Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Chuck Findley, and Byron Stripling all taking a ride on Cherokee, trading eights, and starting and finishing with a great harmonized head of Cherokee. All four of these top notch trumpet players take phenomenal Jazz rides on Cherokee, which we all know is a pretty tough tune. Arturo Sandoval plays some pretty impressive high notes, Byron Stripling nails every chord change, Chuck Findley plays a very melodic trumpet solo, and Randy Brecker shows off his trumpet style all in one very fast, trumpet lick filled Jazz video. This recording was performed with the GRP All Star Big Band.

Don't be a paid to click or paid to read email scam victim, just check the advertiser section

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/YV4R7)
Don't get scammed by paid to click websites, check the advertising section of the website to make sure.I wanted to inform you of a simple trick that will save you time and the possibility of getting ripped off by a paid to click or a paid to read e-mail company. Here is the simple trick folks, if you see a paid to click or a paid to read e-mail website say they will pay you anywhere for 25 cents to $1.00 plus per click or e-mail read, the outlying business opportunity is more than likely a scam or rip off.

Here is the reason why, simply know and understand that if the advertising company you signed up with is paying their members 25 cents to $1.00 per click or e-mail read, how much could they possibly be charging their advertising clients to advertise with them?

This question puts everything out in the open. Think about it, let's say the paid to click or paid to read e-mail company you signed up with pays $1.00 per click. In order for this advertising company to make a profit off of their advertisers they would at the minimum charge their clients a 1 cent surcharge per click. Let's say the advertiser wants 1,000 hits to his/her website. What's 1,000 x $1.01? The answer = $1,010.00. This means the advertiser paid $1,010.00 = $1.00 for every member's click and a $10.00 admin fee to the website. Seriously, do you think you would pay this much for 1,000 measly hits? Of course not.

This is why I'm writing this article. If you see a paid to click or paid to read e-mail site that pays an unusually high amount per click or read, you better go directly to their advertising section and see how much they charge their advertisers to advertise on their website. Then you'll know right away whether or not their paid to click or paid to read site is a scam or not. If the numbers don't add up to a profit for the site you are a member of, it most definitely is a scam.

I wouldn't be doing you any justice if I didn't at least show an example or two. I wonder how long these money making sites will last with their bogus earning claims. Big Money PTC = $1.00 per click to members and only charge their advertisers $3.00 per 1,000.00 clicks. This just doesn't add up. Rich PTC = $1.00 per click to members and only charges their advertisers $3.00 per 1,000.oo clicks.

You don't have to be a math wiz to know that these sites equal a big rip off!!!! Legit paid to click and paid to read e-mail sites usually will pay their members 1 cent per click to way less than 1 cent per click. This really sucks, but unfortunately makes sense as far as a successful business model is concerned. You can only charge advertisers so much per click and the member's return on investment has to match up with that advertiser's advertising costs.

Cash Solos is a new traffic site offering a sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/z13PA)
The Cash Solos traffic website is offering a sign up bonus for joining.I found yet another sign up bonus site. Cash Solos is currently offering new free members a $5.00 sign up bonus and a free pro membership. The only downside to Cash Solo's promotion is that it will potentially go away once they have reached 1,000 members. Let's hope this isn't the case though. Until then, it looks to me like Cash Solos has a good thing going for them.

Unfortunately, I do have to mention another negative. In order to receive the $5.00 sign up bonus, you have to submit a support ticket to the Cash Solo admin requesting the $5.00 sign up bonus within 30 days. The reason I think this is a negative is because the sign up bonus should be automatic. That's just my opinion, what do you think?

Anyway, since you can join Cash Solos for free, you might as well take advantage of the free sign up bonus while you can and the free traffic. Apparently you get free traffic just for being a member with Cash Solos. You can also refer other free members and receive free traffic back to your websites when your referrals are active in the site. This make Cash Solos another good traffic asset to have in your back pocket.

As always, I had to take the time to look at Cash Solo's terms and conditions. Cash Solos claims that they pay their members within 7 days after requesting payment. Let's hope this turns out to be true. Because I really hate websites that do not pay! Before you can even start worrying about requesting payment from Cash Solos, you have to earn at least $25.00 in order to request your first payment anyway. So that time will come when it does.

Take a look at some more free advertising dollars for signing up and let me know what you think of all the free money to take advantage of.

Adam Rapa testing trumpet mouthpieces very nicely

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/04mHl)
I really like this Jazz trumpet video clip of Adam Rapa testing trumpet mouthpieces. Adam Rapa really sounds great on the trumpet even when he's testing out trumpet mouthpieces. I also had the chance to take a look at Adam Rapa's website and it looks like Mr. Rapa has quite a busy schedule of gigs, good for him. Apparently Adam Rapa was at the Monette Factory when he tested these trumpet mouthpieces.

Another commission payment proof from Pre-Paid Legal

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/7dB5J)
Check deposit payment proof from Pre-Paid Legal Services.I was surprised to check my mail today and see a check from Pre-Paid Legal.  The reason I was surprised is because I haven't done a thing with my Pre-Paid Legal business since then end of 2008. I was working the business semi hard and referred a few new associates and a few more memberships doing some online advertising, then I stopped because I wanted to focus on other things.  You know how it is, I got tired of calling the leads I got online and simply got tired of being a sales person, you know what I'm saying?

Well the check I got in the mail today, though small because I choose to earn my Pre-Paid Legal commissions via "as earned" versus "advance commissions", was only for $221.70. I don't write this article to brag that I got paid a commission by a company, instead I wrote this article to give a very humble illustration of residual income off of work done some time ago.

Finger pointing at a payment proof.

Pre-Paid Legal commission check I received as proof of payment for $221.70.

Well, I hope this inspires you to work just a little bit harder at whatever business opportunity you're currently involved in to build a good sized down line and reap the benefits of leverage from that down line.

Roy Hargrove trumpet solo over blues rhythm changes

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/mQSqn)
Here is a nice Jazz trumpet solo I found of Roy Hargrove taking a ride over some basic blues rhythm changes. I like this Jazz trumpet solo because Roy Hargrove nails all the changes and he makes use of good space throughout the trumpet solo. The name of the tune is apparently Da Costa De La Cuba, but I never heard of it before. The tune is basically blues rhythm changes with an arranged head. The blues rhythm changes are taken at a faster and more fun tempo.

Become an affiliate with Learning Things and get a $200.00 sign up bonus

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/become-an-affiliate-with-learning-things-and-get-a-20000-sign-up-bonus/)
Learning Things offers a $200.00 sign up bonus to new affiliates. That's right, you heard me, an amazing $200.00 sign up bonus is being offered to future affiliates of Learning Things. Not only do you get to benefit from the very gracious $200.00 sign up bonus, but you'll also earn a 10% commission off all your sales as an affiliate with Learning Things. Learning Things is in the business of selling educational products of all sorts. Anything from children, religious, and music education products to Government, computer, and math. You name it and I think Learning Things has got it.

The best part about the Learning Things affiliate program is that it is 100% free to join and will never cost you anything to stay active as an affiliate. You are required to have your own website to place the affiliate code though. Learning Things shows you plenty of free ways to accomplish this.

In order to collect on the $200.00 sign up bonus you must earn at least $100.00 in affiliate commissions to cash out. This will put you at a total earnings of $300.00. Not bad for a first paycheck. You must have a Paypal account in order to get paid by Learning Things. This is currently Learning Thing's only payment method.

If you turn out to be an exceptional affiliate with Learning Things you can make even more money. Learning Things has different affiliate levels based on how well you perform as an affiliate. Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. I won't go into details, but just know that if you can get a lot of sales, you will be rewarded extra for doing so. You could turn that nice $200.oo bonus into an even nicer $3,000.00 sign up bonus if you play your cards right.

You can also refer other free affiliates to Learning Things and earn a 2% commission off of all their sales. That's free money. Just another way to build some more leverage in your life.

Unfortunately, if you are interested in any of Learning Thing's educational products, you can't purchase them using your own affiliate link and get a kick back. Learning Things doesn't consider themselves to be a discount educational product store.

Join Learning Things today and be part of the educational industry. Take a look at some more affiliate programs that pay a sign up bonus for joining and take advantage of some more free money.

Blogger and Wordpress are the best recommended blogging software to use

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/blogger-and-wordpress-are-the-best-recommended-blogging-software/)
If you want to start up a blog, but aren't sure which blogging software or site to build your blog with, I got the answers you need here. I'm going to make this easy for you and limit your choices to the two best blogging development websites out there. Of course this is just my humble opinion, but after you read what I have to say, I think you'll swing towards my views on this matter.

You have to decide on whether you want to go 100% free with your blog or take it up to the next level and buy your own blog domain with hosting included.

Let's start off with the free route:

Blogger is free blogging software by Google.Blogger is a 100% free to join blogging community brought to you by none other than Google themselves. I'm sure you've heard of Blogger in some form or another. Blogger is has a pretty huge membership count with very good blogging capabilities. Blogger uses JavaScript to run their blogging software. This makes the software pretty quick on the user end because the blog is mostly run off the client's computer.

Benefits of using Blogger software:

  • 100% free to use.

  • Use JavaScript to run the site so it's fast on the user's end.

  • Lots gadgets you can add to make your blog do cool things.

  • Huge blogging community so you can always find help if you need it.

  • Since Google owns Blogger, all your posts are indexed in Google almost immediately.

The only downfall of Blogger is that you don't own the blog, Google does. Your account could get deleted accidentally and all your posts could potentially disappear. The likely hood of this happening are very slim, but you just never know.

You got to think long term with your blog. What happens when 5 years down the road comes along and you've dedicated a lot of time, hard work, and hundreds of posts into your blog? You wouldn't want to lose any of that hard work, nobody would. See an example of a blogger blog.

The paid route to owning a blog:

Wordpress open source blogging community. This would be Wordpress. I don't mean Wordpress.com, I mean Wordpress.org. Open source blogging software that you can install into your hosting account. Wordpress is 100% free, you just need to buy your own domain and hosting for the blog to work. With Wordpress you actually own every article you write so it's better for the long term. Buying a domain costs usually less than $10.00 a year and hosting for one site comes out to about $60.00 a year depending on where you get it and how much server space you need.

Benefits of using Wordpress:

  • Buying a domain and hosting isn't really that expensive.

  • Most hosting companies have a one click install for Wordpress on their servers.

  • Large blogging community so if you get stuck, there is always help around the corner.

  • Wordpress has more plugins than Blogger, so you can add more functionality to your blog.

  • More themes to choose from.

  • You own the blog, so every post is yours, account can't get deleted.

  • Awesome SEO benefits, sitemap generators, tools, and URL friendly permalinks.

  • More control on changing the blog to look the way you want it to (you can change the code)

Basically with any open source community, a lot of web programmers dedicated their time making scripts for their blogs, then turn around and contribute to the open source community the scripts they made to make their blog do something that it couldn't do before.

To see an example of a Wordpress blog, just look at your entire screen. This website is a Wordpress blog.

Diminished pattern that repeats itself walking up the diminished scale

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/TegH5)
You've probably heard a Jazz musician play this diminished pattern before, am I right? Anyway, this diminished pattern has a simple pattern to it, but I found the diminished Jazz pattern to be a little difficult in terms of finger flexibility. You'll have to try the Jazz lick out for yourself to see if you are experiencing the same thing or not.

A diminished pattern that repeats itself walking up the diminished scale one note at a time.

Here is a sound sample played on trumpet:

How to memorize this diminished lick in 12 keys:

Since this pattern is diminished, you'll technically only have to memorize the lick in 3 keys depending on which note you start on. As you can see in the above example, this diminished lick repeats the same pattern over and over again going up one scale degree at a time on the diminished scale.

The best way I've found to memorize this diminished pattern in 12 keys is to think I'm doing a variation of the diminished scale which is: (1 2 b3 4 2 b3 1 2 b3 4). Basically every other minor 3rd of the diminished triad is played in this diminished pattern. Of course, I don't think in scale degrees to memorize this pattern. Instead I think of the diminished scale in general knowing that I'm repeating the same thing over and over again.

Find the best way for yourself to get this lick down in all the keys, feel free to comment what works best for you below.

Valued Opinions is a free Survey Company that pays

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/zuIFX)
Valued Opinions is a free Survey Company that pays.I've been a member of Valued Opinions now for almost a year. I took about 10 or 15 surveys with Valued Opinions and wasn't sure how much I've earned since I became a free survey member. Well, I logged into my account today and saw that my balance was a little over $40.00. Guess what, you can cash out after you earn a minimum of $20.00. So I went ahead and did just that.

Valued Opinions doesn't pay you in the form of a check, instead you choose a gift card option in order to receive payment. I chose the Visa pre-paid gift card option so I can use the money any way I want or need to use it. Once I receive the $20.00 gift card I will make a copy of it and display the gift card as payment proof that Valued Opinions is really a legit survey company that pays their members.

Typically, you can expect to earn anywhere from $2.00 to $5.00 per survey with Valued Opinions. I'm not going to lie to you. Surveys are not easy, they are very tedious, repetitious, and of course, very boring. I find myself letting survey earning opportunities pass me by everyday because I just don't feel like I have the time. I regret saying this, but a lot of times I don't feel like the survey is even worth my time.

Why do I speak of such negativity? Well, because the survey sites I recommend to you are all free to join, so sign up with them anyway and wait for the higher paying survey opportunities to come your way. That's my rule of thumb. I don't know about you, but spending an estimated 30 minutes of my time taking a survey for a measly dollar, is really not worth it to me. What's your opinion on that matter?

Take a look at some more free survey companies to join and take advantage of the free money today.

Randy Brecker Flugelhorn solo on Blue Moon

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ial7P)
I wanted to share this Flugelhorn solo Randy Brecker took on the tune entitled Blue Moon. I really like Randy Brecker's style. Very outside, he has an interesting tone with a subtle double buzz, but that's OK, it's Jazz. That's Randy Brecker's trumpet style and I like it! Feel free to comment on this post to let everyone know what you thought of this Randy Brecker flugelhorn solo.

The Cheap Visitors affiliate program pays to sign up

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/dY3A2)
Cheap Visitors affiliate program pays a $5.00 sign up bonus.Cheap Visitors is a free affiliate program, similar to Buy Real Visitors, that pays their affiliates $5.00 to sign up with them. Since you can join Cheap Visitor's affiliate program absolutely free, I though I would make sure to introduce this online earning opportunity to you.

The more free opportunities you can get your hands on in the online world the better. Making money online has a lot to do with taking advantage of free affiliate sites, not your typical business opportunities that cost you a one time fee to join, or even worse, a monthly membership fee to stay active as a member in order to receive on going commissions.

In a nutshell, I wanted to go over the benefits of joining the Cheap Visitors affiliate program:

  • $5.00 free for signing up, but you already knew that.

  • $2.00 for every sale you make.

  • $1.00 for every sale an affiliate of yours makes.

  • You don't need a website to promote Cheap Visitors.

  • Fast payments (so Cheap Visitors says).

  • You can buy visitors (traffic) to your websites as well (start off as low as $9.99).

The bad news about Cheap Visitors is that you have to earn at least $100.00 before you'll receive your first payment. In Cheap Visitor's terms of service, they say they will pay you through Paypal within 48 hours, but at the same time say to allow up to 30 days to be paid. I don't know about you, but why would it ever take that long? If you know, please add a comment to this post, because I really don't get it.

Take a look at some more free affiliate sites that pay you to sign up and take advantage of some more free money.

Terrel Stafford Jam Session trumpet solo on Four

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/FwUDJ)
I found another good Jazz trumpet video from the Vitoria Jazz Festival back in 2006. Luckily, this time I was able to embed the video into my site. This trumpet player's name is Terrel Stafford. He definitely took a very nice Jazz trumpet solo on the tune entitled Four by Miles Davis. Terrel Stafford plays this trumpet solo with a lot of energy, I hope you enjoy this Jazz clip as much as I did.

Global NPN offers a single opt-in autoresponder service

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/global-npn-offers-a-single-opt-in-autoresponder-service/)
Global NPN is a single opt-in autoresponder solution. If you are anything like me, you've probably done your fair share of searching online for an autoresponder service that doesn't require your subscribers to double opt-in. Not that it isn't a good idea to have all your subscribers double opt-in to your mailing list, but sometimes you get leads for various business opportunities that have already entered their name and e-mail address. This essentially means they are ready to receive e-mail from you, their potential sponsor. But you don't have the time, nor do you want to have the time to send every lead you get a personal welcome e-mail manually.

If you're smart, which I know you are, you would like to just copy and paste that lead's name and e-mail address into your autoresponder and then they will automatically receive a series of 10 to 20 pre-written personal sale e-mails from you where the subscriber can opt-out at anytime and you're not breaking any spamming laws.  The only problem is that there really aren't any autoresponder services that will offer single opt-in for any of the e-mail campaigns you could get through them.

Global NPN LogoI have found a solution to this single opt-in problem with Global NPN. Global NPN does offer a service to manually enter in leads you get from various business opportunities you may be advertising. The name of this service is called Global NPN's Multi Sponder. You are able to set up 10 different campaigns. I use it for leads I get with Global Domains International, Reality-Networkers, and of course for the Global NPN opportunity itself (especially since Global NPN is my favorite). Global NPN also offers capture page sign up forms that do require double opt-in. This is essential for leads generated on a custom web form that you have created yourself. But Global NPN's Multi Sponder autoresponder service solved all my problems with staying connected with all my leads "legally".

Global NPN is so much more than just an autoresponder service for your online business and Global NPN's Internet marketing tools only cost $10.75 a month. For that small, tiny fee you'll be able to take advantage of:

  • Lead blasters.

  • Ad trackers.

  • 3 banners rotated in Global NPN's network.

  • Downline builder for 3 of your favorite affiliate sites or websites.

  • URL rotators.

  • Business opportunity.

  • Refer 2 other people to Global NPN and your $10.75 monthly membership is now free (50% residual commissions).

  • Ability to make custom capture pages.

  • Autoresponder for your main websites (double opt-in).

  • Multi Autoresponder for your various business opportunities (single opt-in).

  • Get a 30 day free trial to see for yourself before you invest any real capital into Global NPN

So there you have it. Take advantage of the Global NPN free 30 day trial and see if this is the right autoresponder service for you. Hope Global NPN will solve your Internet marketing problems like it did for me.

Search Big Daddy search engine is giving $50.00 in free advertising for signing up

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.signupandmakemoney.com/blog/2009/06/search-big-daddy-search-engine-is-giving-5000-in-free-advertising-for-signing-up/)
Search Big Daddy - $50.00 in free advertising.I was checking out my Google Analytics account today and noticed I got some free hits from Search Big Daddy. I thought to myself, what is this site? So I decided to check out Search Big Daddy. To my utter amazement I discovered that Search Big Daddy is currently giving away $50.00 in free advertising dollars just for signing up with their search engine. It didn't take me long to go ahead and sign up.

Search Big Daddy has a good thing going. You are able to choose a distinct keyword for the site you are submitting for free that will give you a top position in Search Big Daddy's search engine. Of course the downfall is that this is a first come first serve opportunity. I was lucky enough to get a decent keyword free money for signing up, but I wanted free money to be the keyword of my choice. You can't get everything you want in life though, now can you?

Search Big Daddy is a not only a place where you can sign up for free and submit your website and ad to their search engine. You can also participate in their free affiliate program and refer other webmasters so they can take advantage of $50.00 in free advertising and the ability to choose a special keyword for their website.

Refer other free affiliates to Big Daddy Pays and earn a 10% commission off of all their listing advertisements in the search engine. One odd thing I noticed about Big Daddy Pays is that they are not only a search engine. It looks like Big Daddy Pays offers video services, social network services, blogging services, and affiliate program, and so much more that I'm getting tired of writing and you'll have to take a look at Search Big Daddy for yourself to get a hands on experience of what I'm talking about.

Take a look at some more free advertising sign up bonuses and take advantage of some more free hits to your website right away.
